3. Can Lab Grown Crystals by Natural?
I made this Reply video (this is the Instagram version) to someone who took issue (on TikTok) with my referring to lab grown crystals as "natural." I defend my position, saying that if the same exact elements are used as occur in nature, it is naturally formed, albeit in the lab.
There's no judgement implied or taken, regarding which is "better" (though I and most prefer them to come from Nature herself). This is very different than if they added other ingredients (like colorants, as I've seen), or what happens to heat treated Amethyst (which is not at all like Citrine). Also, these people aren't misrepresenting these creations as Nature's, kudos to them. AND - added value - they are not acquired thru
destruction (being torn from the earth) or unethical work practices
(making them sustainably sourced).Â
