I liked this one personally - picked it out of a fellow vendor's booth to showcase in mine - and someone else with elevated taste fell for it. He'd come back 4 time to look at it, and I blew his mind when I demonstrated that it could be turned. I've also never thought of Pink Amethyst (aka Cranberry Amethyst) as being orbicular (having multiple circle formations) like Ocean Jasper, but there it was! Anyhow, this is a prime example of how special specimens get attention (and purchased) in Tucson, like nowhere else!

This is the first "long-view" video I made of my booth - as it was originally set up - but particularly in Tucsion (with 18 days to play with!) I often restructure: move things up (like the big skull) and around (based on sales creating "holes"). Since the start of the show, I did end up putting more small carvings out, and mixing them in with the larger carvings, because I had so much great backstock I wanted to represent. I'm looking ahead to my last weekend in Tucson - and the epic pack up of my pallets, which will go from Sunday night into Monday - saying goodbye will be tough, as I don't know I'll be back in the same way. The overhead is exorbitant. But it always seems worth it to me - due to special treasures acquired, and passed along - to a uniquely receptive audience, with good taste, and a passion for purchasing what they like. 

Some brainstorming is brewing about how to build up my online presence in a more sales-oriented way, because there's lots of money on the table, that I've abandoned there for years. This would be the time to collect! But I have to meet my audience in a new way, and that includes YOU! So stay tuned...
