2. FAKE Crystals: testing coral for dye...

I was promised these were genuine Yemeni Corals brought to Jerusalem in the 1950's - and maybe they were - but I questioned the assurance that they were naturally colored. So I looked online and tried the Acetone Test to see if I could loosen some of that color up, and determine if these Corals were in fact natural. I even tried a more obviously dyed strand I already had. They both passed! And this video went unusually viral, getting 43,000 views on TikTok. HOWEVER - I later went to wash them off with soap and water - and I guess the dye had been loosened, and sure enough, the red came off in the water. Oh well - I overpaid - but hopefully someone (or many people) will still want to incorporate these pieces into their jewelry.

4. Crystals for PAIN: Milky Quartz & Celestite

Crystal FOR Pain: Milky Calcite & Celestite

I have a series "Crystals FOR" - where I discuss specific applications for Crystals - and while in many cases, you could come up with a variety of combinations, I chose two key conceptual methods for approaching pain. One - with the Milky Calcite - is to "get next to" the pain, in a compassionate way. The other - with Celestite - is to take a bird's eye view, and through Gratitude and Appreciation, somehow lessen the pain, due to the context you place it in.
